— detailed building plans now available via Chris & Malissa Tack of the Tiny Tack House (Malissa is a professional graphic designer who makes beautiful 3D models so it should be a tasty set of plans.) They are also really nice folks too. And yes, this is the house that was featured in tumblr’s architecture year in review. Still swooning.

When I heard the theme was mirror I knew I had a challenge ahead of me. I have tried taking mirror/reflection photos several times with very little success. Either your face is in the photo, or the camera is, or it’s just boring. The other day I worked for over an hour and a half trying to capture all these ideas that I had come up with. But I was failing at everything. Nothing was working, nothing was interesting. I tried all sorts of angles and positions and after all that time I came up with nothing. So I gave up. I was defeated. And that is when I took this photo. And just like that, I got something I loved.
This is probably one of my favorite photos that I’ve ever taken. This is why I love SS. It pushes me to be better, to try harder, to learn something new. This weeks lesson- perseverance. Love, ESD
Aww ESD such a great write up, thank you for struggling and trying and not giving up until you’re satisfied. All of your photos are so incredible it’s hard to ever pick one over another but your relaxed pose in this one is very intimate, captivating, honest and beautiful. Your bush looks so nice and as always your curly hair adds something special to the photo. I think a lot of us can learn from your effort and use that desire for improvement in many elements of our lives.

I know what I want with my coffee this morning babygirl….
Hi this is my photo. When I’m awake enough to care I’ll report the stupid head who stole it.
